winter whites & baby blues

Crisp white, velvet linens, and just the right touch of blue is perfect way to welcome home a sweet baby boy. I added touches of glitter, mirrored accents, and just the right amount of candle light to complete this look. Welcome home baby Sam ❤

take me home, country roads

Each year I have the opportunity to go back to second home, Morgantown, West Virginia. It’s impossible to explain the beauty of Morgantown. I made some of the best relationships of all time in that sweet little town. I feel so blessed to have had such a special opportunity. At West Virginia University – we lived for game days & late nights but the bond with the girls that I shared this amazing experience with is something I hold near and dear to my heart. We try to celebrate game day together at least once a year, reminisce about the good old days, and just have fun! Its only fitting to share some of my favorite throwbacks from those years!

When I met shalom, It was just upon graduating from WVU. He learned quickly that part of the relationship, required him to become a mountaineer fan! We made a trip to Morgantown within our first few months of dating and started traveling for West Virginia games together! Fast forward to our wedding – we battled for the last dance song! I wanted Country Roads, and he wanted New York, New York! Since marriage is all about compromise we decided on both! But everyone was more excited for Country Roads 😉

I had so much fun planning this West Virginia themed celebration for friends and family! It was important to me to incorporate the special elements of West Virginia, while maintaining my own personal style! I worked with Zest Bakeshop to create this amazing sweet treat table! My goal was to incorporate as many of my favorite details about WVU as possible but the keep it clean and fresh! Turf lined display boxes & blue sequin linens were the perfect canvas! Vintage pennant inspired cake pops & the almost heaven sugar cookies were my favorite!! Let’s go Mountaineers!!

a thoughtful thanksgiving table

Thanksgiving must be beautiful for the guests but practical for the hostess! I was so excited when my friend Batsheva asked me to create a thanksgiving table that was just that – practical & beautiful! I had so much fun sourcing items that can be disposed of to make the clean up process easier for the hostess!

The table is anchored with a collection of three blue and white oriental vases. I filled them with hydrangea, orange tulips, yellow roses, and some fall branches. I added a pop of color with orange and yellow florals to bring the warmth of the season and contrast the cool blues and oriental patterns.

My favorite find was the Hester and Cook disposable paper chargers! They are just as stunning in person as they look in these photos! They let the rustic wood table to shine and allow you to “adios the tablecloth!” These chargers have unlimited styling options. You could use them as chargers or grouped together as runners! And the best part – toss them during clean up!

Another amazing collection, Michael Aram Madhouse. The chic disposable options are endless – many of which are dishwasher safe and reuseable if you wish! They make for a great option for outdoor entertaining, no need to worry about your favorite glasses breaking! I paired the The Rock Collection flatware with the Melon Tritan Goblet.

Ralph Lauren Mandarin Blue Plate was a perfect addition to this table. I also like this similar disposable option by Caspri. I topped the plate with a crisply folded gray linen napkin, a seeded eucalyptus stem, and a fresh pear to tie in the rustic fall vibe. A fall fruit statement on each place setting can double as a creative place card! Simply use a gold Sharpie, your best penmanship, and get a little crafty!

Lastly, a craft fall cocktail is a must at a Thanksgiving dinner party. But let’s be honest, it’s not fun to be a bartender for your guests all night! Let your guests be the mixologist with some simple guidence. Set up small station on the edge of your table, or on your buffet.

Set out a cinnamon and sugar riming bowl, a few bottles of Prosecco, a glass milk jug filled with fresh cider and allow you guests to craft a yummy Apple Cider Mimosa! This drink is simple to make but sure to be a hit!

Happy Thanksgiving!

the perfect holiday card

The holiday season is truly the best time of year. To me, it means Halloween is finally behind us and we can make way for seasonal parties, gifting, craft cocktails with unnecessary calories and of course, my favorite part, holiday cards! All over the country, but especially in New York the holiday season is such a magical and festive time.

Holiday cards are such a vibrant childhood memory of mine. As a kid, I would run home from school to open the mail each day for an entire month. I would rip through the cards looking for my best friends family trip picture or the card from the cute neighbor (reminder: this was pre-social media days)! The internet will never beat a personalized card or hand written note delivered to your doorstep!

Now, as a mother and wife, I’m blessed to have both Chanukah and Christmas in my life. In keeping with the holiday card tradition, I try to pick a card each year that is holiday neutral but still festive. I find that my favorite cards have something a little extra special. Metallic details, glitters, and clean messages stand out amongst the rest! For an extra punch, add a personalized photo stamp from stamps.com!

In the past, our Holiday cards have earmarked a special occasion in our life. Our engagement, wedding, and Ari’s first trip to Israel. This year,  I decided to recruit my photographer friend, Elizabeth to take some pictures of our sweet Ari.  I wanted something classic and fresh that would complement a holiday neutral card. We decided on a beach photo shoot and we were lucky enough to get the most PERFECT weather! A cloudy day means no squinting for the little ones!! I was so happy with them, it was almost impossible to pick a favorite picture!

High quality pictures like these, display best on their own.  Yes, its next to impossible to pick just one but it’s such a sweet statement.
